Medal hopes

The Olympics are well underway, things could be getting better for team South Africa in the pool. Lyndon ferns has qualified for the 100 meter freestyle finals that takes place today. Pietermarizburg born Darien Townsend will compete in the 200 meter individual medley semifinal. Both swimmers are our greatest hope of getting a medal in the days to come at the games.

Golden boy Ryk Neethling may have swan his last Olympic race. The 30-yeard finished last in his heat however he says he still has another Olympics in him.

Hopefully we can add at least one medal to our collection this year.
