Ok, so the Lakers pulled down a little more rebounds than the Celtics, but they allowed their opponents to grab more. The Celtics are called the best defensive team in the league, and the stats show. In the regular season, they averaged 10 more points than their opponents, and in the playoffs it is about 4. For the Lakers, in the regular season they averaged about 5 more than their opponents, and in the postseason they are averaging about 7 more. The Lak! ers have been great at defense this year in the playoffs, and the Celtics are slowly dropping under them. It was mostly because of their 7 game series with Atlanta and Cleveland. Before this series, they played 20 games {now 23}.
Oh yes, I forgot to give my thoughts on the Lakers' win. Kobe Bryant had 36 and Sasha Vujacic had 20 to lead the Lakers to their first win of the series so they could avoid dropping into in a 0-3 hole. It was awesome.
